XRF lid hinge broke please help!

Hi everyone!

I heard a pop when I opened my lid today, and the right hinge broke. The lid won’t close at all now. I’m sorry, but I have a big order for glass and really need to keep going.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? Would it be okay to turn off the piston arms and/or the lid safety for a short time and open and close the lid by hand until support gets back to me? I hope they get back to me tomorrow with a quick fix.

Any help would be very helpful.

Disabling the safety and operating without the lid will work in the short term. Just use common sense, keep hands and objects out of the beam path and maintain proper ventilation.

Since the right hinge is damaged and the lid cannot close properly, it is possible to continue processing with the lid open as a temporary measure. However, please remember that safety must come first.

To allow the machine to run while the door is open, you can disable the sensor in LightBurn. Please enter the Machine Settings and locate the Enable door open protect. Change the value to False and click Write to save the change to your controller.
