I just received my XRF this morning and can’t wait to get it started! My understanding now is that it has built in air assist but i should really consider the OneLaser Air Assist Control for cutting, etc. I wish I would have known when I ordered the unit as i would have ordered both at the same time. So i just ordered the Air Assist and it looks like it is on backorder as it says Pre-Order. So on to my questions:
Is it really needed or is the built in air assist enough?
Any idea how long before I would receive it (if i don’t end up cancelling the order altogether!)?
Hi Anthony! To answer your first question: yes, the XRF already has a built-in basic air assist that’s great for engraving and light cutting. However, the OneLaser Air Assist Control gives you adjustable air pressure and directional control, which makes a noticeable difference for deeper cuts, thicker materials, and cleaner edges (less charring or residue). So, it’s not required, but definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you plan to do more cutting work.
