If your Omni PiBurn is engraving initials or logos backwards, don’t worry! this is a pretty common setup hiccup. One simple fix is to remove the short one-foot extension cable that comes with the rotary. That small “pigtail” can sometimes cause the axis to flip, which results in mirrored engravings.
In addition, check your Rotary Setup in LightBurn. Make sure the “Mirror” option is turned off, as leaving it on can also invert your design. After disconnecting the extension and adjusting that setting, your engravings should come out in the correct orientation.
So, if you notice your letters or logos coming out backwards, try running your rotary without the extension cable first. Combine that with a quick double-check of LightBurn’s rotary settings, and you’ll be good to go.
