Engraving on a blue sparkle Stanley, any special settings?

I’ve been asked to engrave a 40oz Stanley that has a bliue sparkle finish. Has anyone done one of these before? I’ll be using the RF tube on my Hydra 7, and I’m wondering if any special laser setting adjustments are needed for this finish.

It’s basically a painted surface, so any of your usual successful settings for coated tumblers should work just fine.

  1. Before proceeding with the final job, you can use LightBurn’s Material Test feature to perform a test run. Using high power or low speed settings may cause the underlying material to turn white or gray.
  2. If the cup surface has areas of varying height (non-uniform surfaces), please process those areas separately to prevent focal differences from negatively affecting the processing result.
